Subject: [MBBIRDS] More info concerning common murre die off
Hi all,

I have received some concerned emails regarding the number of common murre carcasses I reported yesterday.
Here is some further information.

1. The data we collected is shared with all relevant agencies: through the BeachCOMBERS project: https://mlml.sjsu.edu/beachcombers/

2. Here some info on the die-off from International Bird Rescue: https://www.birdrescue.org/2026-california-starvation-event/

We definitely observed more adult birds than chicks.
