The monotypic family Icteriidae is lumped into Icteridae (Troupials and Allies). [Yellow-breasted Chat](https://ebird.org/species/yebcha) Icteria virens moves from its own family into Icteridae, now treated as the most divergent member of that family.

So where you are and when you’re there will be helpful. “Ebird. Org” then explore, then explore species, has some helpful information on separating the species. Looks like parts of the Great Plains might have both Marsh Wrens for some challenging ID and some birds may not be identifiable to spp.
