On Sunday, November 1, a hunter harvested a Fulvous Whistling-Duck at the Wister Unit of the Imperial Wildlife Area at the south end of the Salton Sea. Unfortunately, the specimen was not preserved. The hunter did report to me, however, that two whistling-ducks were flying together and that he only took one of them, so another one may still be out there.
