Several times today I have had up to 4 Red Crossbills at my sunflower seed feeders and at my birdbath. One is for sure a male, another looks to be a female, and the other 2 look more grey than yellow (but yellow on the rump), like the female/immature photo in allaboutbirds.org. New yard bird! I was able to get about 8 feet away from the feeder with my binoculars and could clearly see the crossed bill! Darkish wings with no wingbars. I am near the Los Capitancillos perc ponds.
