Pacific Golden-Plover (Pluvialis fulva) (2) CONFIRMED
- Reported Nov 03, 2026 11:29 by Chris Chappell
- Turri Road Tidal Ponds, San Luis Obispo, California

- Comments: "Continuing from yesterday and I believe first seen the day before yesterday. 3 reported by another observer earlier but I only saw two. Foraging on Salicornia marsh near BBPL. Pluvialis plovers with warm (golden) tones to most of plumage including much of the paler underparts. Yellowish spots on darker upperparts. Prominent pale supercilum. Bill more slender than adjacent BBPLs and plumage more warm, less gray. Wings extended only slightly beyond tip of the tail, unlike the long primary projection of the similar American Golden-Plover. Juvenile plumage as expected for fall west coast birds. I'm traveling so I only have BOC pic for now and not the greatest. Will post all 3 pics when I'm home."
Pigeon Guillemot (Cepphus columba) (2)

Medium-sized, relatively long necked alcids with heavy specking/blotching on one bird. The other individual had more white on the head and wings, so may have been a basic adult."
