Cormorants are now migrating south in large numbers. Many (most) of our breeding birds have already left. Today I was surprised to see good numbers migrating south on moderate south winds. We had a flock of 33 land in the Mystic Lakes to feed, but had another flock of 120+ continuing south overhead. We should expect cormorant migration to continue for a while. Best, Paul Paul M.
