On Wednesday the 4th, a female Hepatic Tanager is back for its second winter at the base of Point Point Loma behind the YMCA and Presbyterian church that are west of Famosa Slough and just east of Nimitz Boulevard. Behind (West side of) the YMCA and church there is a large line of eucalyptus trees and several other forms of eucalyptus and pine where the bird frequented last year when those trees were heavily blooming. Currently they are only barely blooming in a couple patches, so it's unknown whether the bird will range more widely until they start blooming better, But it did fly to those trees after starting in the location below. The bird actually started off at dawn even slightly west of that on the west side of some apartment buildings and right up against Nimitz in an ornamental eucalyptus of some sort and it may well have roosted somewhere close to there:

I report birds like this with much trepidation because it's inevitable that people abuse these wintering stakeouts with constant playback. Same is true for the eastern Point Loma Painted Redstart, waterthrushes at Dairy Mart, and the list goes on. This bird only barely responds last year anyway. Best way to find it is to hear it give its "chup" call early in the morning.
