Hi Tweets, Just saw the posts about rare birds and Tweeters, with a couple specific mentions of the female Vermilion Flycatcher. She's still there. I stopped by there yesterday afternoon on my way to the Methow. I got lucky and found her pretty quickly. I used eBird sightings to guide my quest and found her flycatching from fence posts on the farm road on the east side of the little slough that runs under 38th St SE. Very bucolic with Mt. Rainier and cows in the background. For rare birds, I find the combination of eBird alerts and the various WhatsApp groups much more convenient than Tweeters, but that's me. I rarely chase, but it's nice when a bird is on the way to somewhere I'm already headed, like the Siberian Accentor that was conveniently just off I-5 some years ago. Have fun out there! And don't forget to Vote! Peter
