Subject: [pen-bird] Moss Beach seawatch 11/2
Yesterday morning, I did a seawatch from Moss Beach. I cut the seawatch short as the number of birds were low with exception of Surf Scoter and Black-vented Shearwater. For this time of the fall, the number of migrating loons are low. Here is a partial list of what was noted. Surf Scoter ( 2,070 ), Bonaparte's Gull ( 2 ), Royal Tern ( 1 ) south, ElegantTern ( 56 ), late Common Tern trailing Elegant Terns south, Red-throated Loon ( 27 ), Common Loon ( 2 ), Pacific Loon ( 34 ), Black-vented Shearwater ( 630 ) and late a Buller'sShearwater.
