Subject: [EBB-Sightings] Great horned owls in Adams Point
Good morning all. I have been hearing a great horned owl now and then from
my apt but not been able to pinpoint a tree or perch. This morning I can
clearly hear an owl calling " hoo hoo hoo ...hoooo hoooo" and within 5
minutes a second lower voice joined in. The second voice is less distinct.

Could this be an adult and offspring hunting together? A newly bonded
pair? Can anyone suggest what might be going on here? I feel blessed the
owls have flown into my range of hearing. Adams point doesn't seem to have
many owls, although I remember hearing a barn owl off Perkins a few years
ago.

Happy birding!
Best,
Caren
