Hi all,
This morning just before 7am I heard and saw 3 Clark's Nutcrackers in a tall euc between the Rhododendron Dell and Lily Pond, approx here (37.770650, -122.462843). Unfortunately they didn't stick around long, and I wandered around the area for a while afterwards and had no further sightings. Quite a surprise and hopefully more to come with the ongoing irruption!
I also birded the arboretum briefly, it was pretty active but the only birds of note were a late Swainson's Thrush in the succulent garden, and a Nashville Warbler and a Slate-colored Fox Sparrow near the children's garden. I didn't have time to look for the continuing rarities. Several groups of high flyovers were mostly unidentified except for 3 Varied Thrush, but it felt like there was a lot of movement happening this morning.
