Hello All, Registration for the 2026 Morro Bay Christmas Bird Count is now OPEN! This year’s Morro Bay CBC ( https://www.morrocoastaudubon.org/p/mcas-christmas-bird-count.html ) will be held on Saturday, December 19th. There is no fee to participate and all skill levels are welcome. MB CBC Registration is required for you to participate. Please register by Tuesday, December 1 st so that the 54 sectors can be organized in order to provide thorough coverage of the entire count circle. After you register, your Area Leader will contact you in early December to finalize your sector assignment. Please take a few minutes to Register Here ( https://www.morrocoastaudubon.org/p/mcas-christmas-bird-count.html#register ) and scratch it off your TO DO list. This should be a particularly interesting CBC Count due to recent influxes of certain montane species such as Red-breasted Nuthatches, Red Crossbills, Pine Siskins, Evening Grosbeaks, and others.
