Apologies for the computing mistake that had a garbled subject heading and unfinished body and sent too soon.
RED CROSSBILLS and PINE SISKINS continue to be heard and sometimes seen moving through this area in the mornings too and last week 3 MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRDS spent a couple of days here.
I looked for any sign of the returning THICK-BILLED KINGBIRD on the Mineral Wells trail but had no joy although the HEPATIC TANAGER was seen earlier in the week.

This morning, Mark Wilson and I had a cooperative CHESTNUT-COLLARED LONGSPUR fly over and then circle back to drop in and join the meadowlark flock at Toyon Landfill. After having trudged the entire field for the previous 2 hrs it seems like this bird was a new arrival mid morning.
FYI we have clarification that we can bird up here 7 days per week and that, going forward, we shouldn't be asked to leave (as some of us have been asked in the past). Of course, let's not outstay our welcome and please bird responsibly and don't stand on, sit or kick the methane-filled pvc pipes all over this field (birders have been observed doing all three!).
