Subject: [Tweeters] Tweeting Rare Birds.......or NOT
Much to my dismay I just learned that Common Ringed Plover had been
identified and seen by many, at Ocean Shores back in mid August. Who Knew?
Who didn't know? Me.
Now there is a daily list of Oregon and of Washington (separately) rare
birds, but checking that daily would be a chore especially since it draws
in a lot of questionable, locally? rare? birds.. I would have thought
(hoped?) that a mega like that would have made it on to Tweeters (to which
I have long subscribed). i would have chased it immediately, as my
shorebird list is my favorite list. So I checked the Tweeters Archives.
It was mentioned only once in the many dozens of submissions

So sad, for me anyway
