As the sun starts to appear over the eastern horizon, this is everyone's friendly reminder that the TENTH annual November County Challenge is officially underway (and may have been for a few hours for hard-core owling aficionados!). It looks to be a nice day, with another warmish week to come, so get out while the weather is good and find those lingering species before November finally decides to show us what it's made of. At some point tomorrow I'll share the standings after Day 1, probably using a couple of scoring systems, and we'll see where things go.
But always remember: the main goal here is to have fun!
