Visitors:
Among the many hikers Josh Neustadt, Rachel Donahue, Fatima Aslam, Claudia
Scott, Anna Yan, and Ben Ouyang asked me for more information about the
Pinnacle Rock Hawkwatch.

Weather:
Strong (3-4) NW winds with maximum gusts of 22 km/hr until the last hour of
the watch when the winds diminished. Cloud cover -- At beginning of the
watch there were clouds forming on the northwest horizon and it looked like
the blue sky might soon be filled by cumulus clouds as had happened the day
before. However, in the next hour these clouds disappeared and except for
some clouds very low on the southeast horizon, there were no clouds in the
sky until the last hour of the watch when cirrus clouds moved rapidly in
from the NW. Temperature -- 4-8 C

Raptor Observations:
small movement of RT hawks with one eagle
Non-migrating -- at least 4 RT

Non-raptor Observations:
4 DE Juncos

Predictions:
Tomorrow's weather prediction calls for light WNW winds turning to the W
and increasing in strength during the morning before becoming WSW in the
afternoon. Not the best wind conditions here, but perhaps birds pushed
toward the coast that did not want to fight today's strong winds might come
through.
Monday winds will shift toward the SW beginning a stretch of days w SW
winds until Thursday's predicted rains. I cannot be on site Monday so if
anyone does come to the Rock please email me your results.
