Clear blue skies to start to partly cloudy by late morning back to clear
blue skies
by 2pm. Hazy throughout the day

Raptor Observations:
BE-4 ( 1A, 3I )
GE- 2:53I
PG- 3:22A
Nothing like gusty NW winds to get the birds moving past Coon.
An active day of raptors with Redtails leading the charge today.
Sharpies kept things interesting and the falcon trifecta was sweet.
We had Bald eagles in the sky almost all day long with 6 being seen
circling
together. ( None of those were counted ) Also a local adult Peregrine
zipped
past behind the watch site maybe 20 feet off the ground.
Our Golden Eagle was a distant look but a long study as we watched this
bird
approach from a long ways off on the river side.
Our Bird of the Day selection goes to the Merlin that came in close to the
ridge
on the river side zipping along offering a bin filling look at this
handsome speedster.

Non-raptor Observations:
Pine Siskins
Ravens
Tundra Swans- 7
American Goldfinch
BV's & TV's
Pileated Woodpecker
