Subject: [CT Birds] Great Horned and Barred Owls overlapping territory?
Hi All - For years now, I've been hearing and seeing both Great Horned Owls and Barred Owls in my yard in Killingworth. I was always surprised that two large owls could have overlapping or very adjacent territories. How many others have seen this? Pretty much every year I hear them both, but Barred Owls are much more common.
