Visitors:
The Kolb's from Pottstown came to visit in the area for several days before
attending the Penn State game this weekend. One young mother stopped up
with her infant and picked up some Visitor Center handouts. Like Jen, I
kept count of the number of people who stopped at the overlook (42 in
total), including a group of 5 older-order Amish (with an English driver).
While looking out over Ferguson Valley, a Golden Eagle soared right above
them and they had no idea.

Weather:
Once the fog lifted it remained a hazy day despite the full sun and
brilliant blue skies. Strong winds out of the SE/ SSE which became much
lighter in the pm.

Raptor Observations:
All migrating birds were on the south side of the mountain and were either
just off the mountain top or out over the valley but were all seen with the
naked eye. Two Golden Eagles, both adults flew by at 12:06 and 3:15.
Largest flight of the day was migrating Turkey Vultures.

Non-raptor Observations:
The Starling mob returned to hang out on the tower along with Turkey
Vultures, one Black Vulture and of course, Nemo. Five water fowl were seen
heading for the river, Juncos, Blue Jays and our local Red-tails were also
observed today.

Predictions:
Warm and bright.
