Observation start time: 08:00:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Kate McKay

Observers: Chuck Carlson, Tom Momeyer

Visitors:
61.

Weather:
Warm and sunny. Foggy for the first hour and then very hazy. Temps ranging
from 40 to 56 degrees. Winds from the WSW, decreasing throughout the day.

Raptor Observations:
At first it seemed that the only birds flying were the ravens and local
raptors (including an adult red-tail, immature Cooper's, and sharpie). But
then finally, around 2:45pm, an immature Bald Eagle appeared over North
Pack and headed south with migratory intent. First and last migrant of the
day.

Non-raptor Observations:
Two shrews and two voles provided the entertainment today, nibbling on the
birdseed and scurrying back and forth as they cached some for later. Blue
Jays, chickadees, juncos (one missing its tail), and a single chipmunk also
snacked on the birdseed.

Predictions:
Sunny and breezy tomorrow.
