Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Scissor tailed flycatcher continues at Liberty station
At 1:00 p.m. I just re-found the scissortail flycatcher at Liberty station. It is near the North end of Liberty station. I'm a couple blocks away so can't tell you what street but it's either Cushing or historic Decatur just north of con panne bakery. There is a single massively large Japanese Star Pine/Norfolk Pine all by itself and the bird just flew into the low branches in that, whereas there are cassins Kingbirds sitting up higher. Obviously can move around the whole area. Be aware there is a cassins Kingbird roost just north of this tree somewhere near the golf course and the Corvette diner. So probably all you have to do is be there late this afternoon and watch the kingbirds come into roost and hopefully it will be with them. Ditto as they fly out first thing in the morning.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://sandiegofieldornithologists.org/san-diego-county-avian-records-database/.
