observation time: 4.5 hours

Official Counter: Craig Jackson

Observers: Bill Shapiro

Weather:
Light (2-1) winds from the north briefly turned toward the northwest before
shifting to the southeast the last two hours of the watch; Cloud cover --
60-95-75%; Temperature -- 5-8 C

Raptor Observations:
no migrants seen
non-migrating -- late in the watch at least 4 RT were seen soaring, with
one bird landing on both towers -- bird on far tower had some interaction
with Ravens; at one point a Raven briefly harassed a soaring RT

Non-raptor Observations:
at least three Ravens

Predictions:
Thursday - winds from the SW will get increasingly stronger during the day
-- possible migrants
Friday - winds will shift from the W-WNW getting stronger as the day goes
on and will be very strong in the PM -- better chance of migrants
Saturday -- Day will begin with strong NW winds decreasing somewhat during
the day -- this is foreseeably the most promising day for migrating raptors
at this site possibly during the whole season if there are still migrants
in the "pipeline"
