Weather: Moderate SE wind in the morning, SW/SSW wind in the afternoon. Much more cloudy and foggy than expected, we were completely fogged in for the first 2 hours. A welcome break from the cloudless blue skies we've had the past 2 weeks.
Raptor Observations: First: NOHA 09:35 (flying through the dense fog) Last: NOHA 15:38 Owl: 1 RTHA that saw the owl through the dense fog and turned around just to get a swipe in.
Golden Eagles: 11:00 juv on S side 12:05 3rd/4th year on S side 14:20 adult on S side
Goshawks: 11:07 juv close and low on N side
Non-raptor Observations: LFE: 76 Pine Siskins: 545 total, there was one flock of 85 that hung around for a bit while we were fogged in, later we had flocks of 124 and 164 come through. Goldfinches: 5 Purple Finches: 5 House Finches: 1 Horned Larks: 5
Our black ratsnake friend came out today and sat with us for awhile. We decided to name him Racer (full name Joe Racer).
