Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 7 hours

Official Counter: Gracie Sangmeister

Observers: Bella Maiwurm, Bill Peregord, Don Sherwood,
Michelle Peregord, Rebekah Graham

Weather:
Overcast skies becoming clear blue mid-day, temps in the mid 50s to mid
70s, and very light SW wind that bumped up in speed slightly at the end of
the day. Persistent haze blanketed the distance for the entirety of the
day.

Raptor Observations:
The haze made it quite difficult to spot what raptors we had today.
Everything was low and distant, fading in and out of the haze as they flew
below tree line. We saw all of the birds almost exclusively crossing the
channel. Even on a warm day with poor winds and not a lot of birds, two
golden eagles still snuck through.

Non-raptor Observations:
The normal lot today, with cormorants and gull about the site. A handful
of pelicans were seen distant over the water, a bonaparte's gull was
hanging around in the afternoon, carolina wrens singing away, red-winged
blackbirds were calling from the marsh behind us, and only two blue jays
and four crows were counted. Monarch butterflies are still chugging away
with eight counted.

Predictions:
Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. West southwest wind 8 to 14 mph, with
gusts as high as 23 mph, with a chance of rain in the afternoon that may
arrive after the end of the day. Seems like its going to be similar
conditions to today just a lot stronger wind, so it may be similar flight
to today.
