Hello,
Yesterday Black Scoters made an appearance in this area. There were about 70 in a tightly packed raft in Lake Mattawa in Orange and enjoyed an afternoon hike to the reservoir and there was a small tight raft of 12 in Quabbin. In Quabbin also had a large flock of an estimated 105 Green-winged Teal with a few N. Pintail and Black Ducks thrown in. A Pectoral Sandpiper was also hanging out with a Greater Yellowlegs. On the way to the water was surprised to see a lingering Black and White Warbler foraging on some tree trunks in the afternoon sun.
