This morning a Burrowing Owl was photographed at John Liechty Middle School, just east of the Esperanza Elementary eBird hotspot in Westlake, west of downtown Los Angeles.
And late this afternoon I photographed a juvenile Reddish Egret at the Los Angeles River--Oros Street eBird hotspot. I last observed it flying downstream after a Great Blue Heron briefly chased it away.
