Subject: [nysbirds-l] Central Park, NYC - Monday, 10/26 - 7+ Warbler spp., etc.
Central Park, Manhattan, N.Y. City - Monday, October 26th -

At least 7 species of migratory warblers were found in Central Park on Monday, these included multiple Black-and-white Warblers, Black-throated Blue Warblers, Ovenbirds, Common Yellowthroats, N. Parulas, Palm Warblers, and Myrtle-form Yellow-rumped Warblers, with a fair chance of other species also still lingering. The park was host to at least 75 species of native birds, including some typical flyovers, on Monday - as always, these diverse species were found, observed, many photographed, by many folks out at all hours of the day, some after sunset, and with all sectors of the park covered, rather than just one limited area or for a small amount of time.

Species such as American Wigeon, Common Merganser, Hooded Mergansers, Green-winged Teals, Wood Ducks, Ruddy Ducks, N. Shovelers, and other waterfowl plus American Coots were found again in the park on Monday.

Thanks to many observers and photographers for sightings, alerts, and reports.

Good birding,

Tom Fiore
