Not a San Luis Obispo County bird, but very close. Peter Schneekloth found a female Painted Bunting at the A Street ponds this morning. It was on the western edge of the southern pond about here (34.928690, -120.463771). I found it there about an hour or so later. We both got lousy photos, his better than mine. In our defense, the bird was very cagey and photos were taken through a chain link fence.
