Dickcissel (Spiza americana) (1)
- Reported Oct 22, 2026 09:02 by Sam Eberhard
- Santa Cruz Island--Main Ranch, Santa Barbara, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-119.7196054&<ll...>,-119.7196054 - Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S404544718 - Comments: "Heard well as it gave about 5 farting calls as it flew by. I was able to get my bins on it and note a large and chunky bird flying like a longspur. The call is a faster collection of notes than a LALO type rattle and lower pitched than a CCLO. It’s closest to a NRWS but the visual surely ruled that out. I attempted to cut it off and walk back through the field where I had seen it fly over, but it seemed to have kept flying down the valley."
