I’ll be giving a general talk at the For the Wild Birds store in Omaha NE at 8310 Spring Plaza on Thurs Oct 22 from 6-7.
This probably isn’t going to be of interest to most on this list. However, your neighbor, cousin, grandchildren or friends…who don’t understand why you constantly blather about birds or drive 7 hours on a Tuesday to see one… might benefit from an intro.
Birding Nebraska: From Beginner to Big Year
Whether you are a “bird-curious” beginner, a backyard birder, building your life-list or thinking about doing a Big Year, Nebraska’s birding bonanza is open to everyone. Hundreds of species are waiting to be found within a few minutes of your home, and we’ll discuss techniques and new technology that have transformed bird-watching from a niche hobby to an obsession enjoyed by millions of all ages worldwide. Through a brief tour of Nebraska’s iconic bird species and birding resources, you’ll learn how to increase your enjoyment of nature and build bird identification skills while improving your health and contributing as a citizen-scientist.
