It was a nice surprise to see a lovely little Tennessee Warbler pass through our yard yesterday. Last one recorded here was Sept.30, 2026. Yesterday’s was moving through the low bushes with a small group of songbirds. Orange-crowned and Townsend’s warblers were also present.
The number of White-crowned and Golden-crowned sparrows continues to increase slowly. I haven’t yet spotted a gambelii ssp. White-crowned this season. Usually a few will arrive a little later and spend a good part of the winter.
