I've been visiting Johnson Rd towards sunset for the last 2 weeks hoping to see some short eared owls.
Tonight I scanned and scanned only to again be disappointed. Butvthen, just before dark, I played an owl call-back from Merlin and was amazed to see an owl flying right towards me. Then another.
Within no time I (and a fellow who had stopped to see what I was up to) were treated to EIGHT owls flying around us and between the fields on both sides of the road!
Wonderful, incredible experience!
