We had two flights of Greater white-fronted Geese go over Madrid in Boone County last night. They were recorded on our Birdweather Puc which has been great fun this Summer. We have had 100 species recorded with about 90% accuracy on multiple occasions. We are fortunate our front porch is like a bandshell. It's to bad these birds and some of the recordings can't be used on eBird as they are very clear. Of course you get the sound of a car horn as a Trumpeter Swan now and then. It also does a nice job of recording our local pack of coyotes. This information is in a worldwide database and each puc shows up like hotspot icons on eBird that you can look at anyones sightings. The app is built to filter out human voices and we've never heard someone talking. Clayton Will Madrid
