When I spotted it, it was swimming in the lake near the float-plane dock. It walked up the float-plane ramp and browsed on the grass west of the new taxiway for most of the hour. It then walked back down the ramp to the lake. Quite a surprise. I've seen that species only a few times in that location over the six years I've been observing from my retirement community (The Lakeshore, an ideal retirement community for a birder who likes waterfowl).
