Weather:
Clear and sunny with hardly any wind. Temps ranging from 35 to 45 degrees.
Very pleasant day for hawkwatching after yesterday.

Raptor Observations:
Excellent day for migration with lots of birds getting lift from the
thermals. A fun kettle of nine red-shoulders, two sharpies, "gray ghost"
harrier, juvenile harrier, and several ravens brought back memories of busy
September days gone by. Soon after, a late broad-wing flew by through the
valley! Several Turkey Vultures drifted by, including one kettle of eleven
birds. We ended the day with a triple-digit count. A season total exceeding
17,000 migrants is looking within reach!

Non-raptor Observations:
Other birds included two Downy Woodpeckers, two Purple Finches, and two
species of kinglets.

Predictions:
Another sunny day tomorrow with slightly higher temps.
