Observation start time: 08:45:00 Observation end time: 15:45:00 Total
observation time: 7 hours

Official Counter: Craig Jackson

Observers: Ben Shamgochian, Carole Powers, Darren Josey, Kim Brookes

Visitors:
Darren Josey brought his daughter Esther up with him when he came up to
watch with us

Weather:
Strong (3) NW winds throughout the watch, with gusts up to 26 km/hr. Cloud
cover -- For almost the entire watch the cloud cover was over 90% with a
little blue showing in the NW, but a low cloud layer covering almost the
entire sky. Only in the last hour did the sky begin to open up some.

Raptor Observations:
Smaller number of migrant raptors than I would have expected given the wind
conditions. Until the last hours of the watch almost all migrating raptors
were flying low, sometimes below the trees. Temperature - the temperature
stayed around 12-13 C the entire time
Non-moigrating -- at least one BE; several CH; at least four different RT;
and one PG

Non-raptor Observations:
12 Canada Geese

Predictions:
Winds from the NNW are predicted to become less and less strong until
mid-afternoon. Hawks still in the pipeline may come through
