I suspect this is not that unusual, but we hadn't seen any hummers here in our yard in west Newark at south end of Middle Run Natural Area for a week -- Until yesterday - Thursday, Oct 15. It was here today as well. Juvenile... didn't get glasses on it, though.
Always happy to watch a hummer enjoying our flowers!!!
