The front brought in another flock of Nashville Warblers at noon. They are feeding in the Golden Crownbeard and hardwoods. They are more interested in the insects that are among this large stand of flowers more so than the seeds.
I still have two female Ruby-throated hummingbirds that are feeding on Porterweed, lantana and Golden Crownbeard flowers more frequently than the hummingbird bottles. Porterweed puts on new flowers each day, which seems to be an attractive feature for hummingbirds, and the plants attract carpenter ants which makes it a good feeding source for Carolina Wrens, and warblers.
I have not seen my Indigo buntings for the last two days and assume they have moved on.
