Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Point Loma nutcracker, Red Crossbill, Short-eared Owl
Friday morning at the cemetery there was a presumably continuing Clark's Nutcracker seen by visiting birders in the northeast corner for a short while, and several of us had a flyover Red Crossbill On two occasions, along with a few siskins and a Lawrence's Goldfinch. I later visited residential area and Point Loma Nazarene University, and at the latter location at around 8:45, a Short-eared Owl appeared flying overhead being chased by a crow and did circles over the campus and then seemingly drifted lower and generally toward the west, but it could have gone just about anywhere.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://sandiegofieldornithologists.org/san-diego-county-avian-records-database/.
