10/14 Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center. 10am-1PM. sunny then
turning overcast, 75F, mid-tide rising.
On the driveway coming in was a very friendly Catbird- eating berries from
the cedar - I just stood there watching it for about 5 minutes .
On the marsh: 3 Great Egrets, 1 Snowy egret, 4 American Black ducks and
many gulls flying over.
On the grounds & feeders: 2 White throated sparrows, 2 Red bellied
woodpeckers, 1 Flicker, 4 Blue jays, at least 10 Yellow rumped warblers
flitting around the trees, 2 American Goldfinches, 3 Mourning doves, 3
Phoebes, 3 House sparrows, 1 Carolina wren.
Very busy at the fountain with about 12 House finches bathing, joined by a
few Yellow rumps, 2 American Robins and 2 Cardinals.
One Coopers Hawk and one Peregrine falcon flew over.
