Hi OKBIRDS,
This morning, Monday, 12 October, I photographed a very late EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE at Myriad Botanical Gardens in downtown OKC. It appears to be the latest-ever documented occurrence for central Oklahoma. There’s at least one getting late OVENBIRD, 2 female-type American Redstarts, and a Wilson’s Warbler still lingering in the gardens. A couple of Orange-crowned and Nashville Warblers along with about 5 Common Yellowthroats continue as well. Only one straggler Indigo Bunting remains in prairie garden area.
