Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Paul Gosselin

Observers: Hugh Kent, Jaron Wilkinson, Liz Kent, Mike Jaber,
Robin Smallwood

Visitors:
Huge thanks for our counters: Robin, Jaron, Hugh, Liz, and Mike for
sticking it out with the rain. Nice to meet Kelly and Jamie, Julian and
Savannah, and Suzanne and Adam from Woodstock!

Weather:
Wind was favorable with a NE direction for most of the day, however the
rain and cloud cover stopped raptor movement in its tracks.

Raptor Observations:
Big winners for today are Northern Harriers (8) followed by Peregrine (3)
and Sharp-shinned (3). Was a slow day on the tower due to weather. Raptors
flew solo throughout the day for a grand total of 17.

Non-raptor Observations:
American Pelicans (277) kept our spirits up with their flight formations. A
late Nashville Warbler and a Northern Parula along with 5 other warbler
species were spotted around the tower. Great to see a flock of Brown-Headed
Cowbirds (43). To everyone's anguish only (43) Blue Jays were seen flying.

Complete list can be found @ https://ebird.org/checklist/S401484312

Predictions:
Unfortunate southwestern wind may push birds further away from tower.
Mainly cloudy that may clear up late morning. Remaining hopeful.
