Weather: Happy World Migratory Bird Day! It was a beautiful fall day on the mountain with excellent visibility. Light winds from the NW/WNW. Temps ranged from 36 to 49 degrees. High thin clouds steadily increased throughout the day.
Raptor Observations: Nice day for raptors with ten species on the move, including a bunch of sharpies, a nice push of kestrels, and a handful of Turkey Vultures. Shoutout to Levi and Katrina for putting in twelve hours for the Big Sit. They spotted a sharpie as the first migrant at 6:45am.
Non-raptor Observations: Great Canada Goose day! Many skeins came by throughout the day, resulting in a grand total of 3,175 geese. Overall, we had thirty bird species during our Big Sit. You can view the eBird checklist here: https://ebird.org/checklist/S401112586
