Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Paul Gosselin

Observers: Daniel Lee, David Wharton, Hugh Kent, Ian Woodfield,
Jaron Wilkinson, Jeremy Bensette, Kit McCann, Liz Kent,
Mike Jaber, Robin Smallwood, Stephen Courtney

Visitors:
Thanks to all our hard working volunteers. Hugh, Ian, Jaron, Jeremy, Kit,
Liz, Mike, Robin, Daniel, Stephen and David.

It was nice to have a full tower today with lots of visitors, Ruth, Mark,
Linda, Ellen, Kerri, Leah, Sherry, Jamie, Amy Michael, Libby, and Samm. All
very keen to see the birds on the Marsh and to hear about the Hawk Watch.

Weather:
The day started with an east wind and shifted mid day to south-east. The
clouds slowly creeped in over the course of the day. Visibility was near
perfect for the whole day. Comfortable temperature throughout day, rising
to 22c

Raptor Observations:
Today the top birds were the Turkey Vultures (754), Sharp Shinned Hawks
(66) and a good number of Northern Harrier (23) including a nice male 'gray
ghost'. Disappointingly we haven't seen any Red shouldered Hawks today.

Non-raptor Observations:
We had a late Black and White Warbler. Ducks are starting to show up in a
greater variety. American Coots and Ring Necked Ducks showed up big today.
Blue Jays are still streaming through in large numbers. Find the full list
here: https://ebird.org/checklist/S401057590

Predictions:
Tomorrow looks to be a wet one, periods of rain through out the day with
the same south east winds we saw today. Hawk counts will probably be lower
than today, but the same mix is likely.
