I just had a juvenile yellow-headed blackbird visit my feeder this morning. It was with a flock of Red-Winged blackbirds. The Yellow-headed Blackbirds left their nests in the cattails along the south shore of Highland Lake by late July, so this was a real surprise.
Is this common?
