Hi all,
White-throated Sparrow was our first bird of the Shaver’s Creek Big Sit 2026, heard a little after midnight from our “circle” on the boardwalk. Best wishes to all those counting today or tomorrow! During our previous 18 years of participating in the Big Sit, we have recorded a total of 94 different species, and 11 of those have been seen each year. Come visit us if you want to check your answer or wait until we post our results and I’ll share if those 11 species made it to 19 years in a row.
