Another slow, hot day, with some interesting captures:
- One of the European Starlings that serenades us each morning with
their mimicry of various other species decided to officially visit today.
They are rarely caught, high personality birds that we can't help but enjoy.
- A Mountain Chickadee. We occasionally catch MOCH/BCCH hybrids, but
this is the first MOCH since 2017.
- A latish Wilson's Warbler, an adult female, that had a ton (that's a
scientific term) of fat and weighed in at 9.2 grams; I think the only one
this season over 9 grams. Just enjoying the scenery going south?!
