My apologies for the confusion with my previous email.here is my correction:Dear Dr. Shaffer, Dr. Eckerson and University of Nebraska Regents;My apologies, I confused the name of the collection in my previous email. The specimen collection I meant to refer to is in Bruner Hall at UNK.The Sternberg Museum that is being shuttered is in Ft Hays KS, and obviously not under the auspices of the Nebraska Board of Regents. My understanding is that there will be discussion regarding the future of Bruner Hall including possible renovations that may negatively impact the future of the collection as well as the Biology department.My error notwithstanding, the closing of another regional museum collection highlights the importance of the work being done in the Biology Dept at UNK and the need to retain these important historical specimens from the central plains for future study.Sent from my Galaxy
