- Comments: "Discovered here yesterday (October 5) by Ryan Seppala. This morning it was refound by Philip Zeng and Chuhan Li in a different tree: the southern-most (leftmost) tree in the row of 11 conifers along the west side of the playground. Later it flew to the smaller tree near the sign at the park entrance.
This bird was a female with a brown head and black and white barring on the upperparts, tail, and underparts. The belly was yellow."

- Comments: "Originally found by Ryan S. Yesterday. Tried two times yesterday but failed : / Refound today at 7:30 at the NW confer of the park. Woodpeckers with strips on the back and side. Can see yellow-ish belly through the scope. Photos tba."

Medium sized bodies, wings in shadow generally looked darker than light grey bellies in the sun, tails looked very rounded and about a third of the body size, maybe slightly less. Not fully confident on the ID as they flew by pretty quickly."

- Comments: "Rufous crowned, gray bodied, green-winged and tailed sparrow. Heard mewing from above the eucalyptus by the picnic tables. Then got great looks by the ranch"
