Guitar Dave with another overtime golden! Other than that, less movement than yesterday but similar species. Lots of cool attacks on the owl today from sharpies, merlins, kestrels, and an incredibly persistent young red-tailed.
Non-raptor Observations: On such a chilly morning, a singing blue-headed vireo posed up in front of the lookout was an absolute joy. One last echo of summer before the woods goes quiet for winter.
Also had both kinglets, white-throated sparrow, lots of yellow-rumped, and a continuing exodus of blue jays to further usher in the fall.
Predictions: Sunny, with a high near 69. Light southwest wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Lehigh Gap Nature Center (<mail...>) Bake Oven Knob information may be found at: www.lgnc.org
